Rick Looby Homes at Sunset Acres was established in 2005. The development is owned and operated by Rick Looby and he created Sunset Acres to offer quality lease homes to families seeking tranquil country living with carefully selected residents.
Rick Looby Homes at Sunset Acres has a private playground, as well as access to a baseball and football field! There is also a community center with game room, movie room, kitchen, bathroom and closed in patio available to tenants for private events. The community center also has a full basement, if ever any tenants wanted to seek shelter during inclement weather.

Where is Sunset Acres Located?
Our modern development has spacious living on one acre tracts, only 2 minutes from Amarillo’s favorite restaurants and shopping. We are just right off Soncy Rd. with I-40 access within less than a mile. We also have quick, low traffic access to the Medical Center.
What Floor-plans are Available?
We have 3 and 4 bedroom plans with 2 and 3 bathrooms, plus 2, 3 or 4 car garages. Homes are between 1,700 AND 2900 Sq.Ft. all on 1 Acre Lots. Homes include central A/C and heat, fireplaces, window treatments, stove, microwave, garbage disposals, sprinkler systems and much more.
What School District is Sunset Acres In?
Our homes are in the Canyon Independent School District. Students attend Hillside Elementary, Greenways Intermediate, West Plains Junior High and West Plains High School.
Is Sunset Acres a Restricted Community?
Clean, debris free with reasonable maintenance requirements, such as yard maintenance and trash pick up. We do not allow old cars or junk trailers, nor commercial trucks or equipment, loud dirt bikes or four wheelers. All pets must be on a leash. These restrictions help provide quality, peaceful, country living.
Is Sunset Acres Family Friendly?
Our development was created to provided quality living with families and seniors in mind. Many of our residents have school aged children and family pets. We utilize a community app to stay in touch, share important news and watch out for each other.
What if I Have Credit Issues?
We can work with most credit issues. To maintain the highest quality of tenants in our friendly neighborhood, we do personal interviews with all tenants and have restrictions to provide a clean and safe place to live.
